ก่อนจะรู้ว่า จอร์จ คาลิน คือใคร
ในฐานะคนที่ปลุกปั่นกิจกรรม ช่างพูด
ขอบอกชาวคิดดีทุกคนก่อนว่า George Carlin คือแรงบันดาลใจ
ที่ทำให้ผมอยากสร้างเวทีแห่งความคิดและถ้อยคำนี้ขึ้นมา!

จอร์จ คาลิน เสียชีวิตด้วยอาการหัวใจล้มเหลวเมื่อวันที่ 22 มิถุนายน 2551 ขณะอายุ 71 ปี
เขาคือคอมเมเดี่ยนที่ข้ามเส้นแบ่งไปสู่ความเป็นนักคิด นักวิพากษ์สังคม นักปรัชญา
เขาเคยบอกว่าอาชีพของเขาคือ "นั่งเฝ้าดูพฤติกรรมของคน"
ช่วงปี 70 วงการสื่ออเมริกาต้องปรับขบวนการเซ็นเซอร์กันยกใหญ่
เพราะ คาลิน ในขณะนั้นถือว่าเป็น "Hippy Comedian" ที่กวนตีนที่สุดคนนึง
ไดอาล็อคอมตะ "Seven Words You Can Never Say on Television"
ทำให้เขาถูกควบคุมตัวไปสอบสวน และวงการวิทยุโทรทัศน์อเมริกาก็ต้อง
ปวดหัวหนักเข้าไปอีก เมื่อเขาสามารถอธิบายว่า "คำ" เหล่านี้ว่า
ด้วยตัวมันเองแล้วมันไม่ได้หยาบคายแต่อย่างใด

คำ 7 คำนี้ กลายเป็นไอคอนทางวัฒนธรรมของโลกเสรีของอเมริกามาจนถึงทุกวันนี้

จอร์จ คาลินได้รับการยกย่องว่าเป็นผู้ที่ใช้ภาษาได้อย่างล้ำลึก ถึงรากแก่นของภาษา
เขาจะอธิบายถึงมิติความหมายของภาษาที่ส่งผลต่อวิธีที่มนุษย์สื่อสารกัน
การใช้คำสวยหรูเกินไปก่อให้เกิดสงครามได้! ยกตัวอย่างเปรียบเทียบเป็นภาษาไทยก็
จะมีลักษณะคล้ายกับการเลือกใช้คำว่า "ผลประโยชน์ทับซ้อน" แทนคำว่า "ยังตกลงกันไม่ได้"
อะไรประมาณนี้ เพราะการใช้ศัพท์ที่มันพรางความจริง ยิ่งทำให้ความขัดแย้งรุนแรงขึ้นไปอีก
หรือแม้แต่เรื่องความตายเขาก็เอามาล้ออยู่เสมอบนเวทีสแตนอัพคอมเมอดี้
ของเขา "เมื่อคุณแก่ในประเทศนี้ คงไม่ต้องกลัว Die หรอก เพราะคุณแค่ Pass Away!!

ตั้งใจจะมาเขียนเล่าเรื่องของจอร์จ คาลินให้ฟังกันให้เยอะที่สุด
เอาว่าจะมาเติมให้เรื่อยๆ นะ ตอนนี้ข่าวการจากไปของราชาแห่งถ้อยคำ
ทำให้เห็นว่า แรงบันดาลใจที่เขาทำไว้กว่า 50 ปี ถูกนักคิด นักเขียน นักแสดง
โดยเฉพาะในอเมริกาออกมาคารวะความคิดและถ้อยคำที่เขาได้สร้างไว้มากมาย

เคยไหม รู้สึกเสียใจกับคนที่ไม่ได้รู้จักเลย แต่เขาเป็นคนที่ได้ทำลายเขตแดนบางอย่างออกไป
เปิดทางใหม่เป็นแรงบันดาลใจที่ไม่มีวันหมด ถ้าใครอิน...มาร่วมเสียใจกับการจากไปของลุงแกกัน
เพราะผมยกให้แกเป็นคุณลุงคิดดีที่มีส่วนช่วยให้สโมสรเรามีกิจกรรมสนุกๆ กัน สาเหตุก็เพราะ
ครั้งนึงเคยฟังสัมภาษณ์ของแก แกตอบคำถามที่ว่าจะแนะนำคอมเมอเดี่ยนรุ่นใหม่ยังไง
แกตอบว่ามีเพียงคำแนะนำเดียวจะให้คือ
"ไปอยู่ต่อหน้าคนดูให้มากที่สุดเท่าที่จะมากได้ ขัดเกลาความคิดด้วยการฝึกฝน
ผ่านให้หลายเวทีมากที่สุด ขึ้นเวทีทุกครั้งที่มีโอกาส...ส่วนมุขตลกมันเป็นสไตล์ใครสไตล์มัน"
